January has come and gone in a whiff which means it’s time for my new fragrance recommendations for February 2021 article.
We can see that there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel regarding this ongoing pandemic which means pubs and restaurants could be opening in a couple of short months.
That’s why I have skipped recommending clubbing and night out perfume this month, but I’ll include a couple of wild card sweet scents for the upcoming Valentine’s day.
I’m glad to say that the last article about this topic was well received and from this point on, fragrance recommendation articles are here to stay on Scent Grail.
If you still haven’t checked out my previous January recommendations, you can do it here. Let’s begin.

How I Picked Fragrance Recommendations For February 2021
Since we are still unable to go to pubs, restaurants, clubs, and other places where people come to eat, drink, and have fun, sweet-only fragrances are absent here.
I know that many people imagined this 14th completely different than what’s it gonna be, I guess we as humans know how to adapt to various situations.
This is why I want to start Fragrance Recommendations For February 2021 article with an encouraging quote to lift our endless spirit:
Rasasi Daarej Pour Homme (Affordable Fragrance)
Why have I picked Daarej: In my opinion, Rasasi is the best affordable Middle Eastern Arabic-style perfume house that creates great perfumes on a consistent basis.
As one of their best-sellers, Daarej is a prime example of a great affordable scent with a “niche-like” quality.
While you may get the candy store vibe, spices keep it grounded. If you are still one of those rare birds that haven’t got their nose on Daarej, cold winter is ideal to check it out.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Leather (Affordable Niche Fragrance)
Why have I picked Colonia Leather: In a world where Tuscan/Ombre Leather and Dior’s Fahrenheit didn’t exist, Colonia Leather would be the best leather fragrance in the world.
I rarely see anyone mentioning this one, and I’m somewhat surprised. Yes, it is a relatively similar fragrance to Tuscan Leather with that same suede accord, and a famous smoke/ash note also present in Tom Ford’s masterpiece.
What makes it different than Tom Ford is the inclusion of the recognizable Colonia DNA at the top, powdery rose in the middle, and creamy guaiac wood at the base.
All this combined with leather makes Colonia Leather the most wearable fragrance on the market. Just keep in mind that just like Tuscan Leather, it’s for those with an acquired taste.

Prada Luna Rossa Carbon (Best Compliment Getting Fragrance)
Why have I picked Carbon: I love the Luna Rossa line, and I also love the Dior Sauvage which reminds me of the time I lived in Ireland back in 2017.
So, it doesn’t come as no surprise that I have included Carbon here. Yes, it’s quite similar to Sauvage with just a hint of Luna Rossa’s signature Lavender note.
It is like a more rounded version of Sauvage dressed up in a tux. A gentleman in a bottle. What else did you expect from Prada?
More affordable price? Yes, even that.

- Perfumer: Daniela Andrier

Paco Rabanne 1 Million Parfum (Daytime Fragrance)
Why have I picked Parfum: Up until a couple of years ago and with the release of 1 Million Prive, I was completely turned off by this whole line.
The guys at Paco Rabanne company had finally decided that it was the time for good old One Million to grow up.
The 2020 release of Parfum went a mile above expectations and even triumphed over the cherished Prive flanker.
That’s why I’m completely surprised that this magnificent creation got so many average reviews.
A salty, and floral concoction with a touch of sunscreen which is backed up by the familiar base, makes Parfum the best 1 Million up to this date.
Give it some love, and try it out at your local perfume shop. You’ll thank me later.

Givenchy Gentleman EDP (Nighttime/Romantic Fragrance)
Why have I picked Gentleman Eau de Parfum: While this perfume may come as a shameless copy of Dior Homme Intense, it’s more than that, and it stands on its own feet.
Firstly, let me just say that Gentleman Edp is a great value for the price you pay. A long-lasting Vanilla-Iris combo of sophisticated sexiness that works equally well on romantic dates as on black tie events.
If you are on a tight budget, then Gentleman Edp is a no-brainer, and in my opinion, just a little better inspiration of Dior Homme Intense than Valentino Uomo Intense. Cheaper, as well.
- Fragrance Type: Woody Oriental
- Perfumer: Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson
