How I Picked 5 Fragrance Recommendations For April 2023
As the first article of this kind in the last year or so I’ve done on Scent Grail, this time I have focused on seasonal, trending, mood-boosting, and budget-friendly fragrances.
Each of these picks will cover every situation one could find himself not only in April but up to the warmer Summer days as well.
With countless options available on the market, choosing the perfect 5 fragrances was no easy feat since I wanted to emphasize quality over popularity.
I also took into consideration the importance of occasions that may be encountered in April such as Easter and outdoor gatherings.
In addition, each of my 5 picks had to be easily accessible, meaning they can be found in a variety of shops, both retail and online.
Ultimately, I believe that this mix of fragrances will appeal to a broad audience, tastes, and preferences. Let these perfumes inspire you to discover a new favorite scent for the season.
1. Nishane B-612

Why is Nishane B-612 one of my 5 fragrance recommendations for April 2023: Inspired by one of the most beloved children’s stories, “The Little Prince,” B-612 takes you on a relaxing journey back in time to what is commonly known as the “salad days” of life.
While this fragrance is not juvenile or basic, it has calming and pleasant qualities. These come from its aromatic lavender and cypress notes, as well as its woody and musky nuances from cashmeran and patchouli.
Sometimes, we all want to take a trip back to those happy and nostalgic days of our youth and relive them in the form of perfume.
It’s a great office scent and one of the rare fragrances from the Nishane house that doesn’t project too strongly, unlike some of their other offerings. What I like even more about it is that it’s not as hyped as Hacivat or Ani, and still passes as somewhat of a hidden gem within the fragrance community.

The scent leaves behind a wonderful, slightly nostalgic trail with a certain air of Parisian chic that would have been familiar to the likes of Jackie Onassis, Grace Kelly and of course the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.”
Why is Heeley Chypre 21 one of my 5 fragrance recommendations for April 2023: I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of chypre fragrances in general and usually, I get to skip them altogether.
But with Chypre 21, there is something special in this composition that will definitely suit a wider audience and maybe give you something new from this historical fragrance genre.
While this is a chypre fragrance in its roots, it is also a modern take on a fragrance family that has suffered the most with all the ingredient bans during the last decade.
What makes this one different than old school chypres from the past is the inclusion of saffron, sea salt, and citrus opening sitting atop the familiar green oakmoss. Also, it is worth mentioning that it shares some familiarity with other Heeley Sel Marin, especially in the dry down.

Why is Gisada Ambassador Men one of my 5 fragrance recommendations for April 2023: Ambassador Men from Gisada is, at its heart, a combination of the best elements of Dior Sauvage and Erba Pura from Xerjoff.
One might think that this combination wouldn’t work, but it actually does. The perfumer did an excellent job of combining the fruity notes from Erba Pura and the effervescent qualities from Sauvage into one perfume.
It’s fruity, warm, spicy, and everything you’d want from a versatile fragrance that even works for special occasions. At this price point, Ambassador feels like a unique and signature-worthy release that most fragrance lovers will enjoy. It’s also worth mentioning that Gisada is still a relatively unknown perfume brand, which means that by wearing this fragrance, you will easily stand out from the crowd.

Why is Hermès Un Jardin Sur Le Nil one of my 5 fragrance recommendations for April 2023: What can I say about Un Jardin Sur Le Nil that hasn’t been said before? It’s a proper art form in a bottle and one of the best spring and summer fragrances of all time.
I have to admit that the whole floral-green-citrus combination didn’t sound appealing to me at first, and from the notes, it seemed like a fragrance that would be better suited for a woman than a man.
But make no mistake, Un Jardin Sur Le Nil has a fantastic development and feels more like an experience than a simple scent. Dominated by green and citrusy notes, this transparent masterpiece is like nothing else on the market.
It’s a true unisex scent in a bottle, timeless and uplifting, and evokes the feeling of being in a lush garden.

Why is Guerlain Homme Eau de Parfum one of my 5 fragrance recommendations for April 2023: I have always believed that once you try Guerlain perfume, you always return to Guerlain.
There is something about each of their releases that stand out from the crowd and keep you wanting more. So is the story with Homme Eau de Parfum. With the top notes of juicy citrusy mint that doesn’t smell like bubblegum, to its woody base with a touch of mojito.
A fragrance that is easy to love, and easy to wear in many situations. It was my most worn perfume in the summer of 2020. Guerlain is Guerlain, and Guerlain doesn’t make bad perfumes. Probably the easiest one to wear on the list.
